Project Management and Erection Supervision

For the big polyacrylic
fiber plant at Isphahan, Iran, with a capacity of 42'000 tons per annum, Enco
Engineering had been entrusted with the project management, detail engineering and
erection supervision, in a subcontract to Noy Engineering, Italy. The plant has been
commissioned in 2003. Further
project management duties have been taken over by Enco for a big engineering
plastics project in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone at Bandar Imam, Iran
and just recently for a polyester project in the same
complex. |
'Oxygen Enriched Air Technology' for the
Production of KA-Oil
 |
The 'Oxygen Enriched Air
Technology' has been developed and is owned by the Nitrogen Works Tarnow SA,
Poland, and is used in their plant since several years. It is now used in the Caprolactam
Plant of Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. in India. By its application it was
possible to increase the cyclohexanone production by 25%. Enco Engineering was supplying
basic engineering and necessary key equipment. Highlights
of the Process:
The process is especially suitable in debottlenecking of
existing plants, since the amount of inert gas released from the reactor will not increase
and therefore this part of the plant has not to be revamped.
For evaluation of the feasibility of such a project a
plant study will be carried out by a team of experienced engineers of our licensor Zaklady
Azotowe Tarnow SA.

Nicotinic
Acid Project
For a nicotinic acid plant of a major producer
in Taiwan Enco Engineering supplied basic engineering, key equipment and supervision of
commissioning. The plant was commissioned in 2001.

The process was licensed by a
European producer. Engineering included a tenfold scale-up and process improvements to
increase efficiency. Nicotinic Acid, also
known as Niacin, Vitamin B3 or Vitamin PP ( pellagra preventive factor), is an important
vitamin. It is given as an additive to animal feed and it is also an ingredient in
multivitamin tablets for human consumption. |
Off-Gas Treatment and
Disposal
 |
For the complete disposal of
the collected process off-gases from the plants of a major Swiss fine chemical producer
the optimum solution was to feed it to the rural waste incineration plant adjacent. Enco engineering was involved in the technical solution,
engineering and erection supervision. |
Waste Treatment and Solvent Recovery
 |
Enco Engineering has recently
completed a challenging assignment for Nitrochemie Wimmis AG, a producer of military
propellants. Enco was in charge of the waste
gas treatment and solvent recovery units for the whole complex. The solvents -diethylether
and ethanol- are fully recycled to the main process.
Supplies included basic and detail engineering, supply and
installation of equipment, mechanical test run and commissioning.
The distillation unit is now in full operation, wheras the
gas absorption unit will be commissioned as soon as the propellant production will begin.
The plant will meet the requirements of the Swiss Clean Air
act and the specific rules of explosive manufacture. |
